EpiduroscopyEpiduroscopy is a minimally invasive procedure of the lumbar spine that is performed using a steerable catheter that incorporates endoscopy and a working channel. Patient indications are epidural inflammation, adhesions, or other tissue obstructions that are directly or indirectly causing back or leg pain. Typical patients may be suffering from or exhibit the symptoms of failed back surgery syndrome. Clarus markets the two most popular types of epiduroscopes: Myelotec® Video Guided Catheter (VGC) is a single use catheter with two channels and excellent bi-directional steering. The VGC is used in conjunction with a reusable fiber endoscope, which then occupies one of the two working channels. This combination provides superior steering and lowest per-procedure cost. The VGC is available in two diameters, 2.7mm and 3.0mm.
